Training Athletes is Different...

Strength

Fast athletes are developed in the weight room first. We give athletes the foundation to apply force and merge it with speed mechanics.

Speed

We use speed training methods used by professional athletes, with state of the art laser timing gates to track progress.

Agility

We start by training change of direction and placing athletes in better positions before advancing to reactive partner agility.

Mobility

We expose athletes to ranges of motion that they will encounter in their sports to help prevent the risk of injury.

Large Training Space

We've added 5,500 square feet of usable training space, including 90-feet of turf allowing for top speed training indoors. Combine this with industry leading equipment from Samson Equipment + world class trainers and you have the recipe for Central Illinois' only High Performance Center.

Attention to Detail

Every athlete that starts at HPC gets a full body assessment prior to training. This is a comprehensive assessment from head to toe. We analyze movement quality, upper body and lower body strength, and motor coordination.

Accountability

We believe there is an advantage to training in a small group setting. Not only does it provide a fun & competitive atmosphere, but it also established accountability with your training partners and coaches.

 Train Smarter:  Our thoughts align with Abe. Our philosophy at HPC is that if you consistently prepare the body to meet the demands of sport you will be well-prepared to play your sport injury free for a full-season.

Here at HPC we create individualized programs to prepare you both physically and mentally to have a successful & healthy season. All programs are individualized based off a comprehensive assessment, and heavily based on developing unilateral strength, speed, and power.

We also provide In-Season training that keeps your tissues healthy and mobile during a long season. Ask us about In-Season training!

THE HIGH PERFORMANCE PHILOSOPHY.

    Are champions just the winners on the scoreboard?  At HPC champions are defined as those who give their best at everything they do in order to discover and succeed at their God given talents.  Sports and athletic training are used to teach lessons that your children can carryover into real life such as discipline, hard work, and fair play just to name a few.
 
   During every training session, every camp, every clinic, your young athletes will be taught to respect those around them and themselves.  Our goal will be to make small improvements that over time will lead to big gains that ultimately will produce great success.
 
   Today in the youth fitness industry the term "kids are not miniature adults" is used quite frequently and with good reason.  You can not train a child like an adult.  In fact because a lot of coaches have not been able to grasp this truth we have record overuse injuries across the country that could and should be prevented.
 
   More and more children are being asked to commit to a sport twelve months out of the year thinking that will produce the best player in their respective sport.  The best way to produce great athletes is to have a broad foundation of movement skills developed by playing a number of different sports and addressing specific bio-motor needs at the appropriate time.  Hit those needs and you will optimize your child's athletic potential.  Miss them and they will never be the athlete they could have been.
 
   Just like a chain is only as strong as its weakest link so to the body is only as strong as its weakest link.  Great training programs are designed to specifically address each individuals weaknesses and correct them.  At HPC program design is based on that principle.  When that is the main focus your youngsters will be on their way to the best and fastest results that can be achieved.
